Pharmacy academic joins European faculty association

Lilian Azzopardi was recently appointed member of the executive committee of the European Association of Faculties of Pharmacy (EAFP).

The EAFP represents university pharmacy faculties and establishes standards and developments in pharmacy education to meet current and future requirements from pharmacy graduates.

It acts as a forum for networking and collaboration between European pharmacy faculties in research projects.

Prof. Azzopardi has been responsible for the development of the teaching of pharmacy practice for undergraduate and postgraduate students and for the supervision of a number of pharmacy projects and dissertations in the field for the past 12 years.

She is the author of six books published in the UK and the US.

She has published several papers in pharmacy journals and has been invited to give lectures, plenary lectures and short courses in various schools of pharmacy.

She is the recipient of two international awards recognising research work.

Prof. Azzopardi is the head of Department of Pharmacy and an associate professor at the University.
