The European Centre for Educational Resilience at the University, in collaboration with the St Theresa College, is organising a half-day seminar on social and emotional literacy and ‘circle time’ in primary schools.

Circle time is a tool for the promotion of social and emotional literacy in schools and may be used by the classroom teachers in their daily practice to provide a holistic education for all their students.

A locally produced DVD on ‘circle time’ in primary schools will be distributed free of charge to seminar participants, together with a booklet on circle time.

The seminar will also be addressed by a number of foreign speakers on the promotion of mental health in schools, including Prof. Paul Cooper, Dr Helen Askell Williams and Valeria Cervoli.

The seminar is being held at St Theresa College’s Msida primary school, on Thursday between 8.30 a.m. and 12.15 p.m.

Attendance is free of charge upon registration.
