G4S regional chief executive officer for Europe, Willem van de Ven, paid his first visit to Malta since being appointed to his post last July.

While in Malta, Mr van de Van presented certificates to a number of G4S employees deployed at Mater Dei Hospital who attended specialist training in response team skills and specific security needs within a hospital environment, especially for supervisory staff and security guards.

Mr van de Ven stressed the importance of continued education in the security industry as it was crucial to the company’s differentiating factor.

He urged the G4S employees to adopt the company culture, wear the uniform with pride and undertake all the training offered even for their personal benefit, while thanking Mater Dei’s management for being such loyal customers.

G4S Malta local partner Kenneth De Martino stressed training was part of the local company’s ongoing commitment to the hospital to ensure the service provided was focused on its specific needs.
