David de Marco has been appointed chief financial officer of MSV Life p.l.c. Mr Demarco has a BA (Hons.) degree in Accountancy and an MBA from the University of Malta. Mr de Marco is also a Certified Public Accountant, a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Prior to joining MSV Life, Mr Demarco has had a long and successful career in the local financial services sector where, since 2003, he has held the position of chief financial officer of HSBC Malta.

Roderick Chalmers, chairman of MSV Life, stated: “David’s appointment is part of a major restructuring that has been taking place over the past few months to move MSV Life to becoming a self sufficient, stand alone insurance company. We are delighted to have David on board at MSV Life. David brings with him wealth of experience, and will be a key member of the senior executive management team at MSV Life, and I am confident that he will make an important and very positive contribution to the company and its development.”
