Microsoft Gold Partner Icon recently attended the Microsoft TechEd Europe which was held in Berlin, where it was represented by head of software services Gareth Gauci.

“TechED is the most highly awaited yearly event by technology experts and IT professionals. As a leading web development company and a prominent Microsoft Gold Partner, Icon could not miss such an event,” Icon said in a statement.

The conference started off with a keynote speech by Microsoft’s vice president of the management and security division, Brad Anderson. He leads a team of professionals around the globe helping organisations reduce costs and grow their business efficiently through Microsoft products and technology in general.

During this year’s TechEd, nearly 750 sessions featured topics like Windows Server, Software Architecture, Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing and the new Windows Phone OS. Mr Gauci was thrilled by the idea of meeting Microsoft employees who shared tricks and tips they learnt from their Microsoft experience.

“Some of the speakers are currently involved in the development of the next Microsoft Office and the Microsoft Visual Studio and they gave good insights which we can effectively adopt at Icon,” he said.

Nowadays one may easily find technological information online. However, Mr Gauci insisted that the experience at TechEd was exceptional and gave him a solid, feature-rich knowledge.

“The technological world is rapidly changing and consequently businesses struggle to remain competitive, falling to the tendency of being stuck with well established but obsolete systems.

“Icon is investing in such events to build the necessary confidence and experience for the next generation software, in order to stay ahead of the curve and constantly enhance its clients’ business strategy with the upcoming productive technologies,” Mr Gauci said.
