Neptunes player Steve Camilleri, currently in his third season with RN Bogliasco, the Italian top division club, is already making his presence felt for his team.

Since returning to Italy in September, Camilleri has been prominent with his knack of finding the opposing net. Camilleri is topping his team’s scoring chart with a total of 10 goals in four matches, thus helping Bogliasco get off to a solid start. They are fifth among 12 teams, with seven points.

Camilleri netted three times in the first away match against Brixia Leonessa, which Bogliasco lost 10-8. He then scored four in his team’s 11-7 home victory over SS Nervi, followed by three conversions in a 12-all draw at RN Florentia.

In the fourth outing, when Bogliasco hosted Ortigia, Camilleri failed to get his name on the scorers’ sheet.

The Maltese player is currently joint fourth in the overall list, behind leading scorer Teo Djogas who has 14 goals to his credit.
