Neptunes player Steve Camilleri on Saturday scored three further goals for Rari Nantes Bogliasco to move into joint-second spot in the Italian Serie A league scorers' list.

Camilleri's goal tally stands at 24, the same as Goran Krstonosic, who last week scored two. Leading scorer Vanja Udovicic, of leaders Pro Recco, also netted twice last weekend and now has 28 goals to his credit.

On Saturday, Rari Nantes Bogliasco could only draw their important Serie A league match against SS Lazio away from home, 9-9.

They won the first quarter 3-2 and lost the third by a similar reverse scoreline. The other two sessions, the second and the fourth, ended all-square at 2-2.

Camilleri's goals were scored successively for his side. The first in the third quarter when he put his team ahead at 7-6 but then Lazio equalised. The Malta international then struck twice in 41 seconds at the start of the fourth session to fire Bogliasco 9-7 ahead.

The side, under coach Massimo De Crescenzo, however, could not hold on to this lead as SS Lazio scored twice to level the match at 9-9.

This was Rari Nantes Bogliasco's last match for 2009 as the competition breaks up for the Christmas break.

The Serie A league will resume on January 6 when Bogliasco host third-placed Brixia Leonessa Nuoto who boast in their ranks the familiar face of Bogdan Rath.
