Foreign investment in Gozo since 2006
Finance Minister Tonio Fenech has given a breakdown of the foreign investment that was made in Gozo between 2006 and in the first six months of this year.
He told Anton Refalo (PL) that €222,000 were invested in 2006, €637,000 in 2007 and €1,598,000 in 2008. During the first six month of this year, there was an investment of €787,000.
Answering another question Dr Refalo, the minister said that since March last year, Malta Enterprise approved three companies to start operations in Gozo affording them financial and fiscal aid and industrial space.

I call the figures mentioned peanuts. That means that Gozitans are basically on their own. When sustainable projects are made, gozitans should unite to have them carried out. Otherwise, if we keep hiding under ECO Gozo, nothing will ever be done again in Gozo and that is what the Maltese in Malta want. they want the Gozo to remain as it is so that they come to gozo for their annual holiday and look at how sheepish we are.
