The Malta International Fireworks Festival, due to be held in Grand Harbour tomorrow and Friday, had to be postponed after the ship transporting the fireworks of foreign participants developed a mechanical fault.

Three foreign companies were expected to take part in the festival.

The Malta Tourism Authority, which organises the festival, said it is doing its utmost to hold the festival on Friday and Saturday.
