Marsaxlokk footballer Claude Mattocks, 29, and club assistant coach Peter Hartshorne, 44, were today sentenced to four months jail suspended for a year and fined €500 each after they, earlier this month, pleaded guilty to trying to bribe Msida St Joseph goalkeeper Matthew Camilleri.

The Marsaxlokk-Msida game, on November 23, had ended in a 1-1 draw.
