Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School in Naxxar is organising a careers fair at the school between Wednesday and Friday.
The programme will include hourly talks for students and parents on job interviewing skills, what employers seek from prospective employees, career paths in forensic work, nursing, education, occupational therapy, administration, financial services, tourism, journalism and the Armed Forces. Exhibition stands are being put up in the school foyers staffed by personnel from the University of Malta's Student Advisory Services, Mcast, Institute of Health Care, Employment and Training Corporation, Swatar Training Centre, Malta Tourism Authority, Mepa, the European Pilot Academy, European Union Programmes Agency, Heritage Malta and Wasteserv.
The post-secondary state school has 1,600 students and offers courses at 'O', 'A' and and Matriculation level.
