The Playmobil Fun Park in Ħal Far was converted into a mini Lapland yesterday as Santa, accompanied by tall elves, spent two hours playing games with children.

Bumper egg sandwiches, cakes, toys and their favourite Christmas personality were almost too much for the children and they squealed with excitement in between scooping up baked beans. This was the eighth consecutive year that Playmobil organised Breakfast with Santa, a tradition borne from the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York. The idea originated to help children forget about the problems.

This year, taking into account the current economic problems, Playmobil went back to the roots of this tradition and opened the event for adults too, who were served a full English breakfast in the cafeteria while the children played in the park.

After two hours of dancing and games, it was time for Santa to cut the cake and hand out presents to all the children.
