Updated: Two candidates so far for casual election
Former minister Joseph Brincat and new Labour candidate Sebastian Muscat this morning submitted their nominations for the casual election to fill the parliamentary seat vacated with the death of Karl Chircop.
Dr Chircop was elected from the fourth district.
The casual election will be held next week.
Meanwhile, the two candidate along with Gino Cauchi, who is expected to submit his nomination in the coming days, denied claims in the PN media that they had been urged by the MLP not to submit their nominations so that somebody else could be co-opted to the House. They said no one had even mentioned such a matter and it was the party itself which made the arrangements so that they could submit their nominations.

Oh well, so there you have it! The PN media will have to scrap another one of their made up stories regarding MLP administration making pressure on the candidates not to contest these casual elections to leave the seat vacated for Joseph Cuschieri.

And the PN, through its media, this morning ran one of those Esopu stories that candidates were not going to be allowed to contest for the casual elections!
