Sirens Hard Rock Cafe, winners of the 2007 Winter League, risk missing out on a place in the semi-finals this evening if they fail to beat Exiles Pender Gardens in a decisive match that pits together the bottom two teams in the current standings.

With Sliema McDonald's, Neptunes Vodafone and San Giljan already assured of their place in the final four, the round of which will be played today week, Sirens were left to fight for the remaining slot but face an arduous task against the spirited Exiles team.

Last week, Exiles gave San Giljan a good run for their money. However, their bold effort was not enough for the underdogs to avoid a 10-7 defeat. Today, Exiles will be gauging their level of skill and physical fitness against the more-quoted Sirens.

With both teams having failed to win a single point from three matches, extra-time will be played until a winner emerges if the score after four sessions is a draw.

In today's opening match, Sliema will be looking to continue where they left off last week, following their excellent showing against Neptunes, by beating San Giljan for their fourth victory from as many matches.

An upset win for the Saints will mean that three teams will finish on equal points at the top of the standings. In such scenario, the classification will be determined according to goals.
