The general secretaries of the PN and the MLP have issued a joint statement appealing to their supporters to be prudent and tolerant throughout and after the electoral campaign.

The statement was issued after a meeting with Police Commissioner John Rizzo.

It was agreed that during and after the campaigns, people would not be carried to or from political activities in open trucks and vans and no unlicensed or derelict cars would be used.

Excessive noise would not be allowed in party clubs, and music would be turned down after 10 pm.

The two secretaries appealed to their supporters to avoid any sort of incidents.
