Ryanair, Europe's largest low-fares airline, yesterday launched its first flight from Malta to Bremen in Germany.

The new route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Ryanair's sales and marketing manager for Southern Europe, Bridget Dowling said: "With eight routes on offer from Malta, there is now a fantastic range of destinations which Maltese passengers can access with the lowest fares in Europe. We launched our first flight to Bremen this morning and our new routes to Barcelona (Girona), Valencia, Stockholm (Skavsta) and the recently-announced Venice (Treviso) have experienced excellent bookings in advance of their launches later this year".

Ryanair says its eight routes from Malta will carry over 300,000 passengers per annum to and from the island.

To mark the launch of the new Bremen route, Ryanair is offering seats from €10 available on www.ryanair.com from today.
