A 17-year-old English girl was yesterday conditionally discharged for two years, after she pleaded guilty to seriously injuring a woman and slightly injuring two police officers while she was drunk.

The teenager pleaded guilty to threatening, assaulting and slightly injuring Police Sergeant Loreto Buttigieg and Police Constable Simon Schembri on Tuesday night in Bugibba. She also admitted to seriously injuring Philippa Whalley in the face.

Police Inspector Paul Bond prosecuted.

Lawyer Patrick Valentino appeared for the girl.
