An exhibition on relations between Malta and Austria from the days of the Knights of St John to the present times is open at the Austrian State Archives, in Vienna.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Christopher Grima, Malta's Ambassador in Vienna, said the event highlights the cultural richness of Malta and Austria and the long-standing links between the two countries. He referred to Malta's heritage and to the role played by the Order in transforming Malta.

The exhibition, which will run until October 12, was organised by the Austrian State Archives with the support of the Embassy of Malta in Vienna, in collaboration with the National Archives and National Library of Malta. It consists of a collection of original documents, prints, maps, decorations and photos.
