Nursing aides working at the Gozo General Hospital are taking "symbolic action" by not punching in for work.
The action was ordered by the General Workers' Union which is against nursing aides punching in.
The union said an agreement had been reached with the authorities that nursing aides at state hospitals should sign in rather than use the punch clock but, although this was being respected in Malta, the same was not happening in Gozo.
When contacted, a spokesman for the Gozo Ministry said the ministry was in contact with the Management and Personnel Office within the Office of the Prime Minister to address the issue.
