Two wardens 'assaulted' by driver
Two local wardens were slightly injured when they were assaulted by a motorist yesterday morning, the Birkirkara regional joint committee said.
The wardens were overseeing traffic in Sta Venera when they were assaulted by a motorist who had been asked to stop by one of the wardens.
A report was lodged at the Hamrun police station.
The committee condemned the attack and called on the police to proceed against the aggressor.
The police said investigations were under way.
