KRS Film Distributors has pleasure is holding the fifth annual Students Cinema Day on Saturday, during the mid-term school holiday.

Six cinema complexes in Malta and Gozo with a total of 39 screens will be offering students a choice of no fewer than 17 films at a reduced admission price of Lm1.15 for person under 16 or Lm1.50 if over 16.

The list of films to be exhibited includes the newly animated features Sony's Open Season, UIP's Barnyard - The Original Party Animals and Warner's Monster House. As the Students Cinema Day will coincide with the Halloween period, KRS will also be releasing three horror features titled Pulse, a remake of the Japanese classic, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Beginning, which is also a remake, and the sequel The Grudge 2.

Films that are expected to attract wide audiences on Students Cinema Day are the action thrillers The Guardian, starring Kevin Costner, and Martin Scorsese's The Departed, with Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon. Other films on offer which should be very popular are the dramas World Trade Center and The Queen and the comedies The Devil Wears Prada, Little Man, Click and You, Me and Dupree.

Presentation of a student's pass will entitle holder to a reduced admission price, irrespective of age, at all shows starting at 9 a.m. till late night. The two screens in Gozo will run shows from 5.45 p.m. until late at night.

Students Cinema Day will be held at the Eden Cinemas in St Julian's, Eden Cinemas Galleria, Fgura, Empire Cinema, Bugibba, Embassy Cinemaworld, Valletta, New Sun City Cine Palais, Marsascala, and Citadel Cinema, Victoria, Gozo.
