Clarissa Sammut-Scerri, president of the Maltese Assocation of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice, will give a talk on 'Helping relatives cope with Family Matters' at the NCW Centre, Blata l-Bajda, on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Everybody is invited. There will be a question and answer session after the talk.

Endemic Species Competition

The "Endemic Species" competition is now on. All posters and entry forms have been sent out. The competition is being twinned with the Italian commune of Pieve Emanuele, Milan, which will be hosting the Maltese winner.

Equal seminar for employers

N.C.P.E. is organising the first half-day seminar together with the ETC, MEA, FOI and NCW. The aim of the seminar is to assess the sensitivity of employers to the barriers women face when seeking employment and the priority attributed by the industry to these barriers.

Employers and HR personnel are invited to the Suncrest Hotel Qawra on Thursday from 8.45 a.m. to 1 p.m. to participate in the seminar.

Mass of repose

A Mass for the repose of the souls of past members and friends is being said on Friday at 6.45 p.m. at St Patrick's church, Sliema.

Gozo visit

A visit to Gozo will include a courtesy call on the mayor of Gharb, David Apap, and places of interest in Gharb and the vicinity, on Friday, November 17. Transport starts at 7.30 from various pick-up points. Return with the 4.15 p.m. ferry. Price: Lm3.50, which includes transport (Malta and Gozo) and refreshments.

Visit to Girgenti

A visit to Girgenti is being held on Saturday. Transport leaves at 2 p.m., with various pick up points.

Cultural tour of Cospicua

On December 2 at 3 p.m. NCW will visit Cospicua parish church, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, take a cultural walk and finally stop at Bir Mula Heritage, where tea and pastries will be served.
