Pembroke will seek to bounce back to winning ways when they clash with Hamrun Go Mobile in the second of a two-match MBA Shield programme tomorrow. In the opening game, Depiro Kyocera face Bupa Luxol.
Fresh from their unexpected victory against Pembroke, Depiro's target will be to surprise Luxol who won their opening game against Siggiewi.
Last weekend, Depiro overwhelmed the erratic Pembroke thanks to a strong all-round performance, mainly in the first two sessions.
Both sides favour a fast game, looking to operate quick breaks through playmakers Roderick Vella (Depiro) and Chris Sammut (Luxol).
After their positive showing on the first day of the competition, Hamrun will try to keep the good work going against Pembroke who, in their last match, sorely felt the absence of playmaker Kris Baldacchino when he was not on court.
Hamrun recorded a healthy return from the three-point line in their opening match against Depiro last month with tandem pivots, Albert Spiteri and Addision Bonnici, both showing good form.
