The Maritime Law Advisory Council, which brings under one umbrella, representatives from the Malta Maritime Authority, the Malta Maritime Law Association, representatives from the Ministry of Transport and the Attorney General has been working on a project involving a set of draft regulations on ship registration.

These will be discussed during a seminar, which will be held at the Chamber of Commerce, in Valletta on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

The seminar will focus on a project involving the adoption of the EU acquis on ship registration as well as other developments in this sphere of maritime law following the adoption of Article 84Z of the Merchant Shipping Act on Shipping Organisations.
