Forty Maltese girls and boys will be among some 9,000 youngsters from 80 nations aged between 12 and 17 in Rome for a youth congress and march for peace promoted by the Focolare Movement together with the young people of the St Egidio Community.

The aim of the event, which starts tomorrow, is to encourage a more peaceful and united world.

The youngsters will take part in a peace rally that will march to St Peter`s Square to hear a message from the Pope.
