Most people remember the tragedy that hit young Joanna Boni on the outskirts of Mosta a few years ago when she was crushed to death by a large left-hand driven vehicle while on her motorbike. Her parents, still grieving for what happened to their daughter, have been pleading with the authorities to ban LHD vehicles from the roads as these are dangerous.

If I am not mistaken, such vehicles used to have a sticker affixed on the back with the letters LHD to warn fellow drivers. If so, why is the sticker no longer to be seen, especially now that there are many thousands of cars on the road and drivers of all nationalities?

We need more safety on our roads if we want to reduce the number of accidents and avoid more tragedies.
