For decades, families of street vendors on the outskirts of the city of Belém, in the Brazilian state of Para, have built their huge tecnobrega monsters.

These elaborate sound systems and visual spectacles are inspired by the animals of the Amazon.

They make the city's youth dance to 180 BPM.
