Former long-serving Inter captain Javier Zanetti is currently holding his now-established Javier Zanetti Football Training Camp in Malta at the Luxol Grounds.

Zanetti, who is now the vice-president of the Nerazzurri, has expressed his satisfaction in managing to maintain this event in the annual calendar.

"This is the fifth time for me in Malta, and I am happy to be here because I always feel welcomed," Zanetti told the Times of Malta.

"This training camp means a lot to me because it is always a pleasure to watch the smiles on the youngsters' faces and that fills me with a lot of enthusiasm."

All funds raised through this training camp are all directed towards the Pupi Foundation - a non-profit organisation founded by Zanetti in the interest of helping children, in particular in Buenos Aires.

Meanwhile, Zanetti also spoke about his time at Inter, highlighting how much it meant for him to represent the Inter family as a captain.

"Representing Inter on and now off the field has always been something special for me," the former Inter skipper said.
