The Victoria and Xagħra Scout Groups and the 1st Victoria Bishop’s Conservatory Girl Guide Unit marked the birthdays of their founders – Lord Robert and Lady Olave Baden-Powell – last Sunday. Canon Michael Galea celebrated Mass at the Good Shepherd church in taċ-Ċawla, Victoria. During Mass, the scouts and girl guides, together with the Group Scout leader of the Victoria Group, Lorrie Saliba, and the Group Girl Guide leader Elizabeth Mizzi, reaffirmed their Scout Promise. The church parade had to be cancelled due to bad weather. On February 23, the two scout groups and the girl guides took part in a hike from Żewwieqa in Mġarr to Ta’ Ċenċ.
