It’s good to see that the Times of Malta  has reversed its policy with regard to the prevalence of “friends of friends” networks in Maltese society (vide its editorial of February 20).

Up to 2008, when I still led the Labour Party, it was not at all worried about the issue and only mocked references to it.

But possibly the Times of Malta  even now is hardly credible onthe matter.

It’s an open secret that the Times of Malta itself is run on structures built and held by friends of friends.
