BUTTIGIEG. On February 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANK of Balzan, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, passed away peacefully at the age of 92. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Sandro and his wife Marthese, Marco and his partner Sonja, Lydia and her partner Charles, Carmen and her son Glenn, his grandchildren Rudy-Karl, Rebecca and Ryan, his brothers and sisters and their respective families, nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, February 25, at 8am, for Our Lady of the Annunciation (Marija Annunzjata) parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Adddolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CARUANA. On Thursday, February 21, MICHAEL CARUANA, CEng MIET, widower of Mary, née Abela, aged 88, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters Sylvana, widow of John Guillaumier, Vivienne and her husband Reno Psaila, and Louise Ann, his grandchildren Kirk, Dirk and their spouses Tiziana and Diane respectively and Rachel, his great-grandchildren Ben and Beppe, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, February 23, at 9am, for St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at St Gregory Cemetery, Żejtun. Donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FRANCALANZA. On February 21, MARYROSE (Rose), née Grech, widow of Saviour, aged 94, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children, Tanya and her husband Brian, Mariella, Michael and his wife Bernadette, her grandchildren Elaine and her husband Robbie, Nicola, Michela and her husband Mark, her great-granddaughter Sophie, her sister Stella, nephews and nieces. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Friday, February 22, at 2pm, at Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GATT. On January 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANNIE, widow of Walter A. Gatt, residing at Casa Arkati, Mosta, aged 96, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved children Maria and Ben Muscat, John and Josephine Gatt, Edwidge Borg and Michael Symons, Christine and Bjorn Gillgren, Josianne Stottrup, her grandchildren Lara, Ben, Brian, Ian, Josef, Alexander, Mark, Annika, David, Jennifer and their respective partners, her great-grandchildren Jake, Kane, Kate, Luigi, Mia, Sienna, Lawrence and Rowan, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, February 23, at 8am, for Our Lady of the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PACE. On February 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTHONY of Senglea, residing in Attard, aged 66, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris, née Grima, his two daughters Lorraine and Dr Caroline, her partner Daniel and his only granddaughter Luna, his sister and his in-laws, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, February 22, at 2pm, for St Mary’s parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm. His body will be cremated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

THORNTON. On February 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, SAVIOUR of Gudja, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his children Carmen, Freddy, Geoffrey and his wife Cathie, his grandchild Tassia, in-laws and their respective families, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, February 23, at 7.45am, for St Mary’s parish church, Gudja, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Gudja cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On February 21, at the convent of the Sisters of St Dorothy, Sliema, Sr. MARGARET, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the congregation of the Sisters of St Dorothy, her brother Michael and his wife Maryanne, her in-laws Yvonne, widow of her brother John, Luke Galea, widower of her sister Rose, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, February 23, at 8am, for St Gregory the Great parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to The Dorothean missions in the Philippines will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CARABOT – ALFRED. Treasured memories of a dear husband and father, today being the first anniversary of his demise. Forever in our hearts and truly missed. CARABOT – ALFRED. Loving and fond memories of a dear brother-in-law, ALFRED, on the first anniversary of his passing away. Remembered for his kind words, smile and gentleness. Always in our thoughts and prayers. David, Paul and Sue Sultana and their respective families.

Arts Exhibition

Twenty-seven artists, from the St Albert the Great College staff and friends group, will be exhibiting their works at the Wignacourt Museum, Rabat, on March 1.

All proceeds from the exhibition will be in aid of Fond tal-Ħbieb and to upgrade the Multi-Sensory Room.
