Lecturer and theologian Rene Camilleri says he is not surprised by the abysmal church-going attendance figures unveiled in a recent census.

The Church needs to take a good look at its "outdated" practices and revise its "product" if it is to remain relevant, the cleric tells Times Talk.

In an outspoken interview, Fr Camilleri also fields questions about whether the time has come to remove the reference to Catholicism in Malta's constitution and the changes he would implement were he to be appointed archbishop.
