Ħamrun Spartans have denied reports that they are interested in signing former Birkirkara goalkeeper Miroslav Kopric.

Ħamrun team manager Giovanni Farrugio told The Times of Malta that the Spartans have no plans to bring in new players at the moment and they have full faith in their current goalkeepers Manuel Bartolo and Sean Cini.

"I can't understand how some stories are carried out here as we have no interest in Kopric," Farrugio told the Times of Malta.

"This week we signed Andre Scicluna for Tarxien Rainbows and our January market is close. There will be no players coming in or leaving the club.

"I want to make it clear that we are very happy with our two goalkeepers Manuel Bartolo and Sean Cini and we just want to focus on keeping the team in a strong position in the standings."
