Local band Lucy's Last have shifted towards a more synth-based style with their latest track Goodbye, which sees them distance themselves from their traditional guitar-based sound.

The song, which was produced by the band in collaboration with Clint Spiteri (KNTRL), also features a music video created by Mr Spiteri and his brother Bjorn.

Goodbye is a song about what keeps you up at night and attempts to bring solace,” the band explained in a press statement. “Like Notion, Goodbye has an indie song feel but with a sombre tone and more of an electronic feel.”

The band, which strutted its stuff at Rock the South 18 and Beerfest, is now working on new material and is making plans for an as-yet unannounced gig.
