• Fontana parish today marks the feast of St Andrew the Apostle with concelebrated Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at 3.45pm. A procession with the statue of St Andrew led by Fr Michael Xuereb, with the participation of the St Margaret Band, begins at 4.45pm. The procession ends with a fireworks display, followed by the antiphon and sacramental blessing.

• Disney’s Christopher Robin (U) will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.

• A blood donation session will be held at Xewkija District Health Centre on Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm.

• The feast of the Immaculate Conception will be celebrated at the Franciscan Conventual church, Victoria, on Saturday. Archpishop Emeritus Paul Cremona will lead a concelebrated Mass at 9.30am with the participation of Laudate Pueri choir, under the direction of Mro Can Ġorġ Frendo, who will also deliver the panegyric. Major Seminary rector, Fr Richard Farrugia, will celebrate Mass at 4pm. The procession starts at 5.45pm, accompanied by the La Stella Band of Victoria. The feast of the Immaculate Conception will also be celebrated in Qala. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a concelebrated Mass at 9.30am. The traditional motorcycles pilgrimage will start from Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary at 1.30pm. The aux flambeau procession, led by Għarb archpriest, Mgr Trevor Sultana, and accompanied by the Ite ad Joseph Band of Qala, will start at 5pm.

• Carols by Candlelight by Schola Cantorum Jubilate will take place at St Augustine church in Victoria, on December 14 and 15. The concerts will be followed by a five-course meal, prepared by Ta’ Frenc chefs, at the Priory Cloister. Paul A. Stellini is the artistic director. Victor Agius will hold an exhibition in the foyer. The choir will be under the direction of Marouska Attard. Tickets are available from Bargate Bookshop in Victoria and D’Amato Record Shop in Valletta. All proceeds will go to Dar Ġużeppa Debono.
