In his short and insightful spiritual testament, Saint Paul VI had this to say to all those who want to serve Christ and his Church:

“As regards the world: one must not think to help it by following its ways of thought, its habits and tastes, but by studying it, loving it and serving it.” Accompanying people does help God’s and the Church’s ministers to study how to serve their fellow brothers and sisters with Christ’s compassion.
