The following are the main stories in today’s newspapers.

Times of Malta says the President is refusing to give any details on the multimillion compensation given to 11 victims of the 2015 Paqpaqli għall-Istrina tragic accident despite that most of the funds came out of the public coffers. In another story, the newspaper says that Malta’s only official camp site in Armier has been slapped with an enforcement notice after being flagged for a long list of breaches, including the use of static caravans as “fixed residences”.

The Malta Independent says waste collection fines could start being issued in December.

L-Orizzont quotes Health Minister Chris Fearne saying that traffic accidents are among the biggest cause of medical problems.

In-Nazzjon says that an inquiry into 17 Black has been opened on the insistence of Opposition leader Adrian Delia.
