Faroe Islands coach Lars Olsen is not reading too much in Malta’s 5-0 debacle to Kosovo last Saturday and is expecting a difficult match for his team on Tuesday.

Both Malta and the Faroe Islands are out of the running to secure promotion to League C but the former Danish international wants to end the campaign on a winning note.

“I saw the game between Malta and Kosovo and honestly I though the result doesn’t paint the real picture of the match as for large parts of the second half Malta were the better team,” Olsen told reporters.

“We too had a disappointing result against Azerbaijan and we want to make amends with a strong showing and finish the campaign on strong note. It’s disappointing for us that we failed on our pre-set goal of challenging for promotion and it’s imperative that we at least avoid bottom spot in the group.”
