The competition among investment companies for Malta Blockchain Awards was held within the framework of the largest international blockchain conference, Malta Blockchain Summit, which gathered more than 9,000 participants.

Applicants for the victory were selected in several stages, and three finalists were evaluated by a jury of 32 most influential experts of the blockchain industry. The ceremony was held at the gala evening of the summit, which was attended by the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.

The victory in this nomination was an important milestone for Exante. It confirms the company’s standing not only in the traditional financial sphere but also in the crypto community. Exante is actively work with regulators and make trading cryptocurrency assets fully transparent and secure. These efforts were recognised by industry experts.

Communications director Patrick O’Brien commented: “This award reflects the level of trust we have among the industry leaders. We confidently introduce innovations and continue to expand the boundaries of what is possible for investors in both markets — traditional financial and cryptocurrency.”

One of Exante’s main achievements in this area is the Bitcoin Fund, which the founders of Exante launched in 2012. A year later, it showed a yield of 4,847 per cent and in 2017 – more than 10,000 per cent. At the moment, along with traditional assets, Exante’s clients can invest in 15 cryptocurrencies, as well as the altcoins fund – all from one account.

“We will not stop innovating to create better opportunities for our customers. As a leader, we continue to improve the ecosystem, and it’s not just a promise, it’s our responsibility,” Mr O’Brien added.

It is worth noting that since 2011 Exante headquarters of are located in Malta. With the introduction of legal framework to regulate technologies in the financial industry, such as three Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) bills, Malta has become a major hub for blockchain and crypto industry worldwide, and for Exante in particular.
