The Sunday Times of Malta says Malta’s top criminal investigators claim they have identified a group of “more than two” Maltese nationals who they believe masterminded the killing of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. In another story, the newspaper says the police have been investigating the once-secret offshore company 17 Black ever since the financial intelligence unit flagged its concerns back in March.

The Malta Independent on Sunday says that according to multiple legal sources, the daughter in law of the Labour Party’s top-flight lawyer Pawlu Lia has been earmarked for a spot on the bench as a magistrate.
