These are the headlines in local newspapers this Friday.

Times of Malta reports that the national health service does not employ a single full-time psychiatrist to deal with children and adolescents.

In another story, the newspaper reports that 86 judgements have been removed from the law court’s online register since 2013.

The Malta Independent quotes minister Ian Borg as defending the Prime Minister for his handling of revelations surrounding 17 Black. Joseph Muscat, the minister said, showed “consistency” in his decision-making.

L-Orizzont reports that antibiotic use in Malta has declined by 6 per cent – the third-largest decline across the EU.

The newspaper also highlights parliamentary secretary Silvio Schembri’s calls for Malta to become a “powerhouse of economic innovation”.

In-Nazzjon gives front page prominence to PN leader Adrian Delia, saying that Dr Delia will appear on Xarabank on Friday evening to talk about 17 Black.

In a second story, the newspaper says Economy Minister Chris Cardona attacked journalists who asked him about 17 Black.
