A 54-year-old man was grievously injured in an occupational accident in Ta’ Xbiex on Thursday.

The police said the accident happened at around 12.10pm in Triq Testaferrata.

The man, who lives in Luqa, was apparently hit by an iron bar while working on a crane.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The police are investigating.
