BUGEJA. On Saturday, November 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARGARET nèe Swain, of Vittoriosa residing in Mdina, aged 91, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Fr Charles, Lawrence and his wife Christine, her grandchildren Aris and Lisa and their fiancés, her sister Tonina, and her late husband’s sister Mary, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13, at 3pm, for the Cathedral in Mdina where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Margerita Cemetery, Rabat. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GAFFIERO. On November 11, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, KARL, son of Claude and Louise, passed away peacefully at the age of 53 comforted by the rites of Holy Church after a long illness bravely borne. He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, his sister Karen and her husband Malcolm Miller, his niece Emma and her husband Christian Sullivan, his nephews Mark and Max Miller, his grandnephews Sebastian and Jack Sullivan, his uncles, aunts, cousins, close friends and other relatives. Mass praesente cadavere will be said on Wednesday, November 14, at 2pm, at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MICALLEF. On Friday, November 9, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, GAETANA (sive Gertie) née Bezzina, residing in Sliema, aged 90, widow of Carmelo (Mike) Micallef, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her only son Edward and his wife Anna, her beloved grandchildren Krista and her husband Marco, Kerstien and his wife Nicolette and Luke, her close relative Mary Ebeyer Slythe, her great-grandchildren Eva, Michael and Zara, her devoted carer Annaliza, her sister Tessie, her brother Dione and his wife Pina, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today, Monday, November 12, at 2pm at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Crèche Sisters, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

TABONE. On November 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, VINCENZA, of Floriana, known as Jessie, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband John, her children, Carmen and her husband Charles, Tony and his wife Louise, Manuel and his wife Rita, Anna and her husband Tony, her grandchildren Elaine, Catherine, Elisa, Kim, Karl, Christian, Lara, Christine, Jessica, Marie Claire and their families, her great grandchildren Jack, Giulia, Sofia, Luigi and Isaac, her brothers and sisters, in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13, at 8.15am for St Publius church, Floriana, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

VINCENTI. On November 9, at Casa Antonia Balzan, MIRIAM née Busuttil, of Sliema, aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church after a long illness. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters-in-law Emma widow of Edwin Busuttil and Marion widow of Cecil Busuttil, her nephews and niece Antony and Marisa, Anne and John Grech, Christopher and Anna, Clarence and Janchiv, Graham and Charlotte and Trafford, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13, at 8.45am at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Millennium Chapel will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Special thanks to the nurses and her devoted carer Rechie Maranan.
