The Sweet Valley Clinic, in Balzan, the brainchild of Emma Bondin Beck, opened its doors last Tuesday with a celebratory function to toast family, friends and clients.

The clinic is born out of a desire to break away from the traditional, cold approach in the medical industry and aims to offer a new holistic approach to modern medicine. Patients will never be just a mere number to the doctors – family is at its core values.

The founder comes from a long line of midwives and doulas (women employed to provide guidance and support to a pregnant woman during labour or after birth) and has advanced in this profession not only as a midwife. She is also reading a Master’s degree in Gestalt psychotherapy with extra focus given towards therapy in bereavement and mental health.

Her desire to serve the public by helping them in their most difficult times led to this institution being founded.

The range of medical services is vast, from midwifery to endocrinology, acupuncture to psychotherapy, audiology to bloodletting with blood results in 15 minutes.

Sweet Valley Clinic is co-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Funds.
