A short evening course entitled ‘An introduction to marine biology’ will be held by the Department of Biology of the University of Malta’s Faculty of Science from October 31 to December 15.

The course covers topics such as the general characteristics of the marine environment and the Mediterranean Sea; shore and underwater habitats; marine pollution; fish, cetaceans and turtles; aquaculture and fisheries; and marine conservation.

Lectures will be held on Wednesdays between 6 and 8pm. There will also be two practical Saturday sessions from 9am to 1pm.
