The Boomtown Rats, fronted by Bob Geldof, will be performing in Malta in December.

The Irish band will be playing at the Aria Complex on December 6 in an event organised by Rock 'n Malta.

The Boomtown Rats are the first Irish rock band to reach number in the UK with their album A Tonic for the Troops with feature song Rat Trap.

Between 1977 and 1985 the band released six albums and rose to fame with 12 of Top 40 UK hits including controversial I Don’t Like Mondays, a number one hit in 1979 that propelled the band to success and rock royalty.

Four of the original members; Bob Geldof, Garry Roberts, Pete Briquette and Simon Crowe, will be performing hits including She's So Modern, Like Clockwork, Banana Republic and Someone's Looking at You.

Tickets are €25 from https://www.showshappening.com/nng/The-Boomtown-Rats or from Sunset Records in Sliema.
