Adrian Delia’s vision of a caring society presents a challenging task but is well worth the effort. This concept has a direct impact on people’s quality of life and allows for a fairer distribution of wealth.

Politics is about creating opportunities for all. This includes encouraging sustainable development and proper planning.

Refusing to allow children to live in the shadow of tall buildings, Dr Delia’s policies point towards providing the space that people deserve. This brings to mind Richard England’s book Sanctuaries of the Soul when quoting John Lobell: “If architecture is to be of service, it must be responsive to more than need. The architect must also serve desire... in serving desire architecture contributes to the spiritual enchantment of the world.”

Instead of fostering a climate for corruption through a lack of transparency a PN administration characterised by clarity, openness and accountability will set the example for an inclusive society based on universal Christian values.

As Pope Francis says: No one can remain insensitive to the inequalities that persist in the world. I would like to make an appeal to the authorities and to all people of good will to never stop working for a more just world.
