Lately, somebody mentioned to me the German mystic Bruno Gröning who once said: “The greatest doctor of all mankind is and remains our Lord God”. Gröning’s affirmation reminded me of what Jesus, our Lord God, said to St Faustina and to us all: “Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trustto My Mercy” (Diary of St Faustina, 300).
If we want peace within us and among us why do we not return with trust to Jesus’s mercy? Why do we not receive it sacramentally in the sacrament of reconciliation? Why do we not give it to each other through mutual forgiveness? Why do we not return to Him, our real and only source of the peace we crave for?
