Enzo Potenza has been appointed as Senglea Athletic coach, replacing counterpart Bruno Russo who parted ways with the Cottonera side prior to last weekend's BOV Premier League commitment against Balzan (0-5).

Born in Naples, Potenza has had coaching spells at Real Albanova and Turris and according to Italian reports, he was suggested by Senglea skipper Ferdinando Salvati who played under the Italian coach at Turris, in Serie D.

The Cottonera outfit were also busy in bringing further more players to strengthen the side after their dismal start to the season.

In fact, Senglea have lost their first three matches of the season, scoring none and conceding eight goals.

In order to turn the tables around, the Yellows Reds re-signed Argentine duo Matias Garcia and Augusto Caseres.

Both players featured in Senglea's top-flight campaign last season, with Garcia featuring 24 times and scoring three goals in all competitions while Caseres appeared in 18 games, registering six goals in the Premier League.

Moreover, the club also acquired the services of Italian pair Fabrizio Bramati and Salvatore Amabile, who both play as midfielders.

Bramati, 25, last played with Akragas after spells with numerous clubs including Messina, Cesena and Savona.

On the other hand, the 20-year old Amabile was on the books of Campobasso in the past season after experiences at Igea Virtus and Savona among others.
