Gozo Bishop Mario Grech, leading a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, will on Friday inaugurate a mosaic picture of Our Lady of Ta’Pinu at the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth. The mosaic will complement other images of Our Lady venerated at the basilica. The mosaic was done by Fr Roberto Gauci, who last year worked with other artists on the Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary parvis mosaic works representing the 20 mysteries of the rosary. Fr Gauci is the director of a recently inaugurated centre for projects of liturgical art. The centre, named ‘Eikon’, which stands for ‘image’, is located in Triq il-Papa Ġwanni Pawlu II, on the road to Ta’ Pinu.
